No New Cuts to ACA

President Trump signed legislation to keep the federal government operating until December 7th, allowing patients to breathe a sigh of relief. Many were wondering if a government shutdown was going to happen before November and whether a spending bill would make cuts to the Affordable Care Act (ACA). However, HHS received a roughly $2.3 billion increase in funding, while the National Institutes of Health and Food and Drug Administration received a $2 billion and $159 million bump respectively.
