Connecticut Recognizes Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month
Connecticut was the first state in New England to declare March 2018 as Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month in 2018!
A proclamation was issued by Governor Malloy to community members at the CT State House. Thank you to the state leads of the New England Bleeding Disorders Advocacy Coalition (NEBDAC) Jennifer Banks and Meredith Adler and the Connecticut Hemophilia Society for making this happen.
"Working with Jennifer Banks and the Connecticut Hemophilia Society on advocacy in Hartford was so incredibly rewarding. I learned more about how our state legislature operates and how to best communicate with legislators. My son, Isaac, wore his red scarf to school the next day (his own choice) and kept rehearsing how to say our lieutenant governor's name. Though he can be stoic, the advocacy day left a huge impression on him."
